This position is located in the Office of Postsecondary Education, Office of Policy, Planning and Innovation, in Washington, DC. The Office of Policy, Planning and Innovation is responsible for ensuring an integrated and consistent direction in the development of postsecondary education and program policy.
As a Supervisory Program Specialist, GS-0301-15, you will be responsible for:
Serving as an agency expert and authoritative consultant, including technical assistance and resource management support for key agency programs or several complex program areas.
Negotiating acceptable agreements to resolve conflicts and controversial disputes.
Providing independent leadership, definitive guidance, and authoritative advice to internal and external customers.
Developing agency or national guideline material, policies, and/or strategic plans.
Participating in drafting or managing complex studies on new proposed legislation and regulations to determine impact on related programs.
