POSITION SUMMARY:
We are seeking a highly organized and proactive Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner to support a busy interventional physiatrist in both clinical and procedural settings. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment, demonstrates excellent clinical judgment, communicates clearly with patients and staff, and is comfortable balancing independence with strong teamwork. This position offers the opportunity to work closely with a physician performing advanced interventional pain procedures, with a strong focus on efficiency, patient outcomes, and high-quality care.
OPERATIONAL OVERVIEW:
- Patient care is 100% outpatient
- Office Hours (Mon-Thurs/8 am-5 pm; Fri 8 am-12pm)
- Assist with advanced interventional procedures (spine, nerve, and joint).
- Coordinate pre- and post-procedure care
- Perform histories, physicals, and follow-up visits.
- Manage patient communications and education
- Ensure accurate documentation for compliance and billing
- Support staff: Dedicated interventional spine nurses and experienced authorization team
- EMR: Cerner
FACILITIES + IMAGING/DIAGNOSTICS:
- Main Campus: Currently 10 operating rooms with (pre and post-operative area)
- Single-site setup: Surgery Center with 4 ORs + 11 bay pre/post op rooms, clinic, and hospital integrated for efficiency
- Imaging/Diagnostics: 3t and 1.5T MI, PET scanning, 64-slice CT

Requirements
CANDIDATE PARAMETERS
- Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner license (or eligibility) in South Carolina
- NCCPA certification
- 3+ years of clinical experience in pain management, orthopedics, neurosurgery, or another procedural specialty strongly preferred; exceptional candidates with less experience will be considered
- Demonstrated ability to manage patients independently and support procedural workflows
- Prior exposure to interventional joint and/or spine procedures highly valued
- Excellent communication and patient relationship skills
- Ability to multitask and stay organized in a high-volume practice
