Description
We are seeking a board-certified/board-eligible Interventional Pain Management Physician to perform procedures, manage complex pain patients, and provide medical oversight to a team of advanced practice providers (NPs/PAs). This position is located in Johnson City, TN
We are a high-volume, established pain management practice serving approximately 2,000 plus patients per month throughout 3 locations in East Tennessee. Our model emphasizes responsible, evidence-based care with a strong focus on interventional treatments and conservative opioid management.
Over 90% of our patients are on pain medication, with the majority maintained at ≤90 MED, reflecting our commitment to safe prescribing practices and regulatory compliance.
We operate in both a modern office-based clinical setting and a well-equipped Ambulatory Surgery Center (ASC), allowing for a comprehensive range of interventional procedures.

Requirements
Key Responsibilities
Perform interventional procedures in both office and ASC settings, including:
Epidural steroid injections
Facet injections / medial branch blocks
Radiofrequency ablation (RFA)
Spinal cord stimulator trials and implants
Joint and soft tissue injections
Provide clinical oversight and supervision of nurse practitioners and physician assistants
Evaluate and manage patients with chronic pain conditions
Oversee and guide opioid management plans, ensuring safe prescribing practices (primarily ≤90 MED)
Collaborate with mid-level providers to ensure consistency and quality of care
Maintain compliance with state and federal regulations related to controlled substances
