Pain Management Physician OpportunityUPMC Hamot, located in Erie, Pennsylvania, is seeking a skilled and compassionate Board-Certified or Board-Eligible Pain Management Physician to join its growing interventional pain medicine team. This role offers the chance to make a meaningful impact on patient lives while practicing within a high quality academic health system affiliated with the University of Pittsburgh. Our specialists work closely with UPMC Hamot's primary care network to institute a sustainable approach to pain management. The physician will work in a multispecialty clinical office. Balanced role: responsible for evaluating, diagnosing, and managing a wide range of chronic pain syndromes. Work schedule includes providing outpatient office visits and performing procedures at the surgery center, with required travel to nearby regional clinics.
Procedures include a full spectrum of pain treatments, including caudal nerve blocks, epidurals (cervical, thoracic, and lumbar), facet joint injections, genicular nerve block and ablation, intercostal nerve blocks, medial branch blocks, multimodal pain medicine management, occipital nerve blocks, platelet rich plasma (PRP), prolotherapy, radiofrequency ablation, regenerative injection therapy, shoulder, knee, and hip injections, sympathetic blocks, trigeminal nerve blocks and trigger point injections.
Qualifications include an MD/DO from an accredited medical school, board eligibility or certification, ability to obtain an unrestricted Pennsylvania Medical License and necessary credentials, DEA certification, and a commitment to patient-centered care and excellent interpersonal skills.
