General Description 

SCMG is seeking a BC/BE Neurologist to join our outpatient multi-specialty group. We are looking for a full-time Neurologist who is fellowship trained in Epilepsy or Neurophysiology/EEG track who is also expected to see general neurology and care for patients with a wide variety of neurologic issues. Our division of neurology consists of 15 outpatient Neurologists with varying subspecialties as well as 7 Neuro-hospitalists. We are looking for candidates who are team players who can deliver excellent, compassionate clinical care to our patients.  Opportunities are available to participate in graduate medical teaching and collaborative research. We are part of a busy medical group that provides a robust referral base. We have a two bed Epilepsy Monitoring Unit with potential for expansion, busy inpatient and outpatient EEG labs, and long-term video EEG monitoring in the acute care setting. 

Key Responsibilities

Perform and interpret routine inpatient and outpatient EEG, outpatient ambulatory EEG, Continuous Video EEG, and perform Epilepsy Monitoring Unit admissions. 

Evaluate and manage general neurology and epilepsy patients.

Participate in outpatient call 5-7 weeks a year.

Skills/ Experience

Committed to the highest clinical standards. Objective judgment and willingness to work in a Care Team setting. Able to work at highest level of licensing. Comfortable with the use of an electronic medical record (EPIC), given adequate training. Flexibility to work evenings and weekends (home call and remote EEG reading). Respected by colleagues and ancillary staff. Strong and adaptable communicator. Supportive of the Medical Group’s mission and goals.

Compensation:

In compliance with the California Pay Transparency Act, Scripps Clinic Medical Group posts the pay range for our open positions. Please note that actual pay will be determined based on relevant experience within the pay range. Scripps Clinic Medical Group strives to ensure that our employees receive equal pay for equal work in line with our commitment to being an equal opportunity employer. Range based on experience: $340,000-$348,000.
