Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Pain Management Duration: 25 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 8 hours Experience: Minimum 2 years RN experience, acute care experience License: Valid RN license in California Certifications: AHA BLS & ACLS Must-Have: - Ability to float to other facilities - Experience in ambulatory or outpatient clinic settings Description: This role is for a procedure nurse within an outpatient pain clinic. The clinic is staffed by RNs, medical assistants, and radiology technologists. The role involves performing various pain procedures using imaging technology, such as x-ray or ultrasound. Procedures include epidurals, peripheral nerve blocks, radiofrequency ablation, and trigger point injections. The nurse will also assist with ketamine and lidocaine infusions for chronic pain and depression. Moderate sedation is administered for certain procedures. Candidates should have a minimum of 2 years of critical care, PACU, or procedural sedation experience. Staff must be able to wear lead aprons for extended periods. Interdisciplinary support includes radiology and pharmacy. Daily census is approximately 30 patients, with around 30 visits per day. The clinic operates in a newly built facility and supports various patient diagnoses.
